Sarah Dinnick: Praise the Mutilated World

28 October - 13 November 2021
Overview

The title of Sarah Dinnick’s latest exhibition is taken from a poem written by the prizewinning Polish poet and dissident Adam Zagajewski entitled Try to Praise the Mutilated World. It was written as a salve for those searching for hope after a devastating loss. Dinnick’s latest works which take their form as diptychs, were made during contemplative, solitary walks in 2020 and 2021 and act as a reclamation of sorts. Every door, window and reflection become a stage where the ordinary is reframed and the sublime is illuminated. We are offered a glimpse of beauty in a wounded world.
