Presented by TD Bank Group and Toronto History Museums, Smoke Signals x Reflections features photography, beadwork, sculpture and digital media serving as a guiding signal, broadcasting stories of identity, memory and reconnection.
Curated by Jesse King, Curator – Market Gallery, the exhibition shares pieces from City of Toronto’s Fine Art and Artifact Collection, including the photographic series The Emergence of a Legend by Kent Monkman as well as contemporary art by Jake Kimble, Alexis Nanibush-Pamajewong, Kay Nadjiwon, Kiki Guerard, Megan Feheley and Melissa Johns. Expect bold visuals, self-discovery, and personal storytelling.
