We are thrilled to announce that Huy Lam will present a series of recent collage works at Pierre-François Ouellette art contemporain, Montreal. Pierre-François Ouellette art contemporain (PFOAC) is a private gallery dedicated to the presentation of contemporary art founded in 2001. PFOAC represents multidisciplinary artists working with a variety of techniques. Despite the conceptual, formal and aesthetic differences that distinguish their respective productions, some common threads associate their various approaches with the idea (and act) of making art.
Lam's exhibition, entitled Varied Course, will run concurrently with Jérôme Fortin's newest body of work, Danser: choreographic variations for the eye. The series Danser declines the same theme in more than fifty works. Jérôme Fortin folds, unfolds and refolds strips of paper. He then prints these folds on a sheet of paper that retains only their traces, only their reliefs. The support keeps in memory the gesture of the artist.
Opening on October 22, this exhibition will run until November 12 at Pierre-François Ouellette (PFOAC) located at 963 Rachel East, Montréal, Québec.
